Karen (Old Inn Crawfordsburn, Nov 2012)
Lots of people on the night were raving about how great you all were. A huge thanks from us, we had a fantastic night and saw people up dancing who never would if it had just been a disco. It really made the night. Everyone loved it. We would and will highly recommend you.
Thanks to the band and the caller.
Conan & Sam (Ballymac, 2012)
Just wanted to say on behalf of Sam and myself, thanks so much for the fantastic ceili, disco and session afterwards.
Everyone was saying that it was the best wedding they'd been to, primarily because of the music and dancing.
The caller was excellent and did a great job of explaining the dances and, more importantly, was able to persuade plenty of guests to get up on the dance floor. I know for a fact that people who would normally have gone home early actually stayed late as they were being entertained so much by the craic surrounding the ceili. Most of my guests were musicians and we were all impressed with the standard of music.
The disco was spot-on - all those with any energy left after the ceili said the DJ was brilliant!
The session with you lads at the end of the night was also a real highlight; I think quite a few of our musicians were getting itchy fingers and we were grate. for the opportunity of joining you for some great tunes.
Regarding communications and the general booking process, everything went like clockwork and I found the whole experience very professional
We will definitely be recommending you to anyone else who is thinking of having a ceili at their wedding as, I suspect, will most of our guests.
Tim (Drenagh, Sept 2012)
Just got back from weeks holiday in Galway after Ed and Kerrie's fabulous wedding, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and the band for the fantastic Ceiligh, it was great fun especially as the entire congregation was up for a good dance, and that's what we got.
‘The Great Flydeaney '
Cathy (Drenagh, Sept 2012)
Your band is amazing and the feedback from guests (and staff!!) has been the best to date. The calle is a brilliant idea and it certainly kept the floor filled and rocking a II evening. The DJ was excellent too and incredibly accommodating, the floor didn't empty much when he started but I think the band already had them 'wired to the moon'. The bride and grooms parents were very, very happy.
I can't see how you could improve it. It is wonderful the way it is.
Keep up the good work and thank you so much for makingSaturday night such a wonderful event not only for the bride and groom but also for us all here at Drenagh.

Viv & Dennis (Lodge Hotel, Sept 2012)
We have just arrived back home after taking a few days off after our wedding. The number of guests who came up to us to express how brilliant you guys were, was amazing. Dennis and I had a ball but to hear that our guests thoroughly enjoyed the party also is a real bonus and exactly what we were hoping to achieve. A number of guests particularly mentioned how they enjoyed the caller standing on the dance floor and being amongst us all - it felt a bit more personal and interactive when compared to a caller who stands on the stage. And quite a number of the guests were asking where you were from and the name of the group..... I'm hoping so they can use you in the future or recommend you to others.
I didn't have my watch on during the day so didn't have any concept of times but, from what I understand, you guys really stayed on for quite some time beyond the required time for the ceilidh and for that I am particularly grateful. With regards the DJ - well l was delighted to hear my 2 personal requests played. And a number of the guests were more than happy that requests were being taken so openly.
The only downside for me (at the moment is that I only have one photo of you guys which is quite dark so it will be a bit more difficult to promote you all on facebook than I would like (not a bad negative, I reckon.) But nonetheless, you will be well and truly promoted as you rightly deserve it. Thanks for making our evening so special!
Hilary (Strand Ballylifin, Sept 2012)
Just thought I'd send you some feed-back from your evening with us in Ballyliffin on 8th September at my daughter and now son-in-law's wedding. What a night we had So many people have commented on how good you were, including the hotel staff who were impressed with your easy set-up and pack-up. From the end of the first dance you had everyone involved.
Your explanations were excellent and the traditional music was so suitable for the many guests from Germany. I am sorry I did not get speaking to you personally on the evening - I seemed to get caught up talking to guests but can I just say a hearty "Thank-you" for your professionalism and expertise - I have no hesitation in recommending you to others.
Lydia (Ramada Belfast, July 2012)
Thanks for the excellent job you did at our wedding. We loved every minute. The booking process was good as each time we emailed we got a very speedy response and all our questions were answered. The band and caller were fantastic and I would not change a thing. It was great that the guests were encouraged to take part.
The price was over our budget however we were happy with the quality, it was worth it. Honestly there is not much we would have changed. Thanks again,
David (Radisson Roe, Limavady July 2012)
Hi Pete - just a wee note to thank you for you and your band's contribution to the success of Judith and Joe's Wedding on Friday past - I am sorry I wasn't able to see you in person to tank you before you left but THEY really enjoyed the evening ceilidh, WE really enjoyed it and so many of our guests from Scotland and NI have commented similarly - not just on the u sic and variety of sets, but on the standard of the calling and the patience with which our nieces and nephews were accommodated too - I first heard you at the McCarthy / Gordon wedding in 2009 (when unfortunately I had to sit everything out with an injury!) so it was eat to be able to participate more fully this time! Very happy to recommend you to anyone looking for a good night's entertainment – Best wishes for the future,
Hollie (Tullyglass May 2012)
Hi guys, this is Hollie, I met you after the ceilidh on Monday evening, Just wanted to say again what a great time I had, was so impressed with you guys as a whole. This was my second ceilidh...the first was done by a caller from a static spot in the corner with recorded music...hardly can even compare!!!
Madeline (Hilton Belfast, May 2012)
Just wanted to say thank you for the fantastic performance at our recent European Histamine Research Society Meeting on 5th May at the Hilton. Colin certainly got the people dancing. I had been a bit apprehensive as our members were from 28 different countries but there were no problems getting people to dance! I have many photos - not sure if they are of any use? If you ever need a recommendation - happy to give one. You were worth every penny!! All the best
Yvonne (Ballygally Castle, April 2012)
I would just like to thank you and the boys for a wonderful evening-everyone especially loved the dancing! We all had such great fun and the music was fantastic!

The DJ belted out some excellent tunes From what I remember all my requests were played.Hi Pheim & Oonagh

Catherine & Aidan (Belfast Castle, Oct 2011)
Many thanks for a great night, everyone is still raving about how much craic t was, It got everyone involved in a way a band or disco can't do, even those not dancing enjoyed the music and laughing at everyone else trying to do it, so all our guests felt like they 'd been part of the celebrations. The Waves of Tory was a big hit!
Booking process and communications were grand, price was on par with what we’d expect for wedding entertainment, and certainly well worth it. The caller and band were brilliant, and did well to get people up. The calling was especially welcomed as most of our guests had never been to a ceilidh before. You all looked great too 🙂
DJ was good, and seemed to play all the songs we'd asked for, although we were out and about talking that much I'm not sure, He was very friendly and played requests on the night which was great.
Overall, a brilliant night s craic and everyone was very impressed with it. If here are any more weddings or big events in our families I'm sure you'll get a call!

Ben & Deborah Parkanaur Manor House, Oct 2011)
The booking process was straight forward, very easy to arrange, in fact probably one of the easiest part of the wedding we had to organise! The price was worth every penny. Both myself and Deborah were delighted with the band both the quality of the music and the way all guests were encouraged to get up. The calling was very clear and easy to follow and made the dancing accessible to all, from first timer s all the way our experienced friends from Scotland. The drole commentary certainly added to the evening and gave a great many laugh. All our guests, of all commented particularly on how good the hand was and how much they enjoyed it. I can’t think of any particular best bits, there were so many highlights.
We certainly wouldn’t hesitate in recommending yourselves, and just want say thanks once again for making our wedding day so special

Tony (Edenmore Counrty Club, Oct 2011)
Thanks a lot for great Ceilidh. I think that the enthusiasm with which the guests greeted your music speaks for itself! The booking Process was efficient and communications from 'Haste” were quick and helpful.
I thought the price was expensive, but we took the band on recommendation and I have no experience in band booking with which to make a comparison. I think good musicians are worth their salt and you folks were excellent.
The ”wandering mic” system used by the caller was novel and I think greatly added to the event The caller’s good sense of humour and drole commentary was enjoyed by all.
This band was well turned out, looked the part, and the equipment appeared to do the Job
Hard to pick out the best bits… There was at least one dance that I hadn’t seen before (“The Train” which was good fun for participants and hilarious for the on lookers. We enjoy the band renditions of “Whisky in the jar” during a breath moment. Someone commented to me that the band members looked delighted to be at the event which was heartening. The bride and groom had a ball — they were appreciative of being amalgamated into that first dance in a non-embarrassing way We reckon that some of our guests, whom we thought may have left earlier in the evening, stayed on because of the quality of the band. We think that the idea of ceilidh may have been new to many of our guests from England — but they caught on fairly quickly.
Suggestions bigger dance floor to accommodate the myriads who wanted to get up and dance — but that wasn't something that you could have influenced — you did tell us to ensure adequate space — we Just weren't prepared for the enthusiastic dancers! Perhaps, in terms of information you provide, it would be helpful to know how long it lakes for a band to set up — that would help with planning - (sorry if you DID mention that and I missed it!)
Tony *Note from Haste to the Wedding - we take about 20mins to set up - usually quicker than the venue will turn the room around. Covered in our FAQ!*
David (Radison Limavady, Sept 2011)
We were sending out thank you cards and I Thought it would be remiss of me not to drop you a line. Just to say a massive thank you to you and the rest of the boys in the band, it was a real talking point for all the guests and everyone we spoke to had a fantastic time. The music was excellent and really made the evening!
From http://www.youandyourwedding.co.uk/community/forums/thread/300897?page=2 Posted : Feb 19, 2010 09:44:15 PM Subject: NI Wedding Bands Oh FutureAggle We had Haste to the Wedding play at our wedding last year. They were great and everyone raved about them afterwards. It takes a lot of people on the floor to make it work but they were good at getting people up. We got the ceilidh/DJ package and the DJ afterwards was excellent too. The only problem was I couldn't do traditional dances properly due to my dress and so i missed out on some of the fun. I may stalk you on here, find out the details of your wedding and then gatecrash! I'll get my ceilidh yet!
Neil & Hannah (Rosspark, Aug 2011)
We just want to thank all the band for the ceilidh at our wedding on Tuesday 9th August 2011 at Rosspark Hotel. It really added to our day. Everyone enjoyed it and remarked on how talented all the band members are. We would highly recommend it to anyone and was worth every penny! The quality of the music was superb and we can honestly say that it was one of the highlights of our day - we will always remember it. Anyone thinking about booking with Haste the only advice we can give is - book now- you definitely won’t regret it!!

Kate & Chris (Lisanoure Castle, Aug 2011)
Thank you so much for Friday night-everyone had an absolute blast and it got everyone on the dance floor !!!
Booking process- all good, only thing Iwould suggest is that you send a wee text on the morning of the wedding to say you all to see the bride & groom later. Just I hadn’t heard from you in a week and didn't hate reception as Lissanoure I was hoping you would turn up okay, thank full you did.
Caller and band was fantastic!!!
Pricce-100 pounds more Expensive than competition which might deter people"
I really, really enjoyed it though! Wish I had more time for dancing!!
Duncan (Belle Isle, Aug 2011)
The music was great! As you can tell probably by number of people. It was a shamed the ceilidh couldn’t go on for long but we had good time while it lasted.
The booking process/ communication –No-probs
Price seemed - fine
The caller and band -Great- excellent
Our appearance-Didn't notice any problems!
Did you enjoy it best parts?- very much.
The had lots of people up and dancing. I particularly enjoyed the crazy dance with lots of spinning around. The Dj in the evening was great - although very few of the requests were played – this wasn’t actually the music chosen went down probably even Letter. Any suggestion for improvement?
Had a great time –don’t see how it could have been any better. Maybe if it had gone on a bit longer... (not your fault obviously)
*Note from Haste to the Wedding - Belle Isle do not allow music after 10pm in the main function room, so as this wedding started late, we only got to play over 1 hour. Disappointing for us and the wedding couple.
